Sebastian Droesler MCouns, Dipl-Psych, B.B.A. is a Counselling Psychologist, Life Coach and Mindfulness Trainer, who promotes stress-reduction, counselling, coaching, psychotherapy, personal growth and leadership development.
He is registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He has been living and working in Hong Kong for 12 years where he met his wife and found his calling.
Sebastian’s private practice welcomes clients representing a cross section of Hong Kong’s and Asia’s achieving and educated international population. He works with individuals and couples who seek a professional and reliable partner to help them regain and maintain healthy relationships, rewarding careers and meaningful lives.
Sebastian worked many years in the banking and telecommunication industries. His last position being Business Manager for the Regional CIO APAC in a leading Swiss bank. Prior to moving to Asia, he was a Senior Consultant in Business Process Reengineering and Change Management for the Strategy Department of Deutsche Telekom.
Sebastian holds a Master’ Degree in Counselling from Monash University in Melbourne, European Master’s & Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Business Administration. His comprehensive training focuses on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Systemic Coaching. Individuals and Couples benefit from his advanced level certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) and The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy (The Couples Institute).
As a trainer and facilitator Sebastian applies pragmatic techniques enabling interpersonal learning for individuals and in groups. This as a way of promoting sustainable change in behaviour and supporting a renewed appreciation for personal and corporate environments.
Corporate and private clients benefit from his energetic nature and sound background, his full engagement in the process and his in depth understanding of their day-to-day challenges. As a mindfulness facilitator he trained in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB) and studied Early Buddhism at HKU.
As a registered psychotherapist of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (bacp) Sebastian complies with the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy and the professional standards of the BACP. He receives regular and ongoing supervision from several supervisors around the globe (Vancouver, Australia and Hong Kong).
